What is the Song in the Walter White Ford TV Commercial?

If you have been watching TV in October or November of 2018, you have likely seen the Bryan Cranston (Walter White/Heisenberg) Ford Truck commercial. Throughout much of the commercial there is a piano song playing in the background. This is a song almost all of us know but cannot place a finger on what it is. It is Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones. Note that this is the Westworld TV piano version which you can listen to here:

For those wondering, the Paint in Black scene was in Episode 1 of the first season of Westworld. You can see it here:

For those wanting to watch the Walter White Ford Truck TV Commercial, it is here:

Many diehard Westworld fans immediately went to the Internet to talk about the fact that Ford chose the Westworld Paint it Black on piano rather than the Paint it Black version by The Rolling Stones. Either way, The Rolling Stones are making money on all of this.

It looks as if other car makers are going to have to step up their games if they want to challenge Ford for the best TV commercial this fall and winter. America loves Ford, Walter White and Westworld. When you add all three together, you have an amazing marketing campaign. Do you think foreign car makers like Honda, Toyota, Hyundai or Kia will be able to come up with something as brilliant? With people watching more TV in the winter months, we are sure to see some interesting car and truck TV commercial.

Walter White Ford Truck TV Commercial

If you have watched TV in the last few weeks, you have likely noticed the new Walter White (Bryan Cranston) Ford Truck commercial. It is a very good commercial that depicts the “future”. We get to see Cranston on a private plane, at a laboratory and as a clone or Westworld host. We also get to see the next Ford Mustang, the Fordpass app and, of course, the 2019 Ford F-150 Built Ford Tough Truck. Here it is:

This is, by far and away, the most popular car or truck TV commercial out these days. To have Walter White, Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston), the song Paint in Black from the Westworld TV show and the look of a Westworld scene in the commercial is huge. It will be interesting to see if Nissan, Chevy or Dodge can find a way to challenge this successful TV promotion.

So far, we have seen it on ESPN during college football, CBS during Alabama vs LSU and on the Golf Channel during a few different golf tournaments. Have you seen the new Walter White Ford Truck TV Commercial? Were you trying to figure out the song in the background? Do you think this is the best TV commercial out in November and December 2018?

Who Will Drive a Dodge Car in NASCAR in 2020?

Those that follow NASCAR know that Nissan and Dodge will make their way into the sport in 2020. We will likely see a Dodge Charger SRT8 winning races in a few years. Expect to see Brad Keselowski in the #2 Dodge again. He won the championship back in 2012 driving a Dodge.

Some other drivers we might see in the Dodge Charger include

  • Ryan Blaney
  • Ross Chastain
  • Joey Logano
  • Michael McDowell
  • David Ragan
  • Paul Menard

We won’t be seeing the NASCAR boys sprinting around the track in a Dodge Viper  but it will be fun to see Dodge back on the NASCAR tracks in 2020. There were some rumors that we could see Dodge in 2019, but that is not going to happen.

Do you think there is any chance that Dodge can win a race in 2020? If Brad Keselowski can get the feel of the old Dodge and race like he did back in 2012, one would imagine he could win a couple of races in 2020.

Unfortunately, with NASCAR now being a sport that is throughout the United States, it is not as easy for those living in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia to go to all the races. In the 1980s and 1990s thousands of fans would go to every single race as they were all in the southern states.

The trips to North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, Richmond, Darlington and Bristol were not that difficult. Now, you would have to fly to Phoenix, Las Vegas and even California. It is interesting to see how the sport has changed over the last two decades. Whether you like it or not, NASCAR is never going to be the same. It will be nice to see Dodge back on the track but it won’t be on the track at The Rock or in North Wilkesboro. It is very sad to see these racetracks in such disrepair since NASCAR decided to take their fans elsewhere.

2019 vs 2018 Chevy Silverado – Should You Buy a New Truck?

If you are considering a pickup truck, you are likely considering a 2019 or 2018 Chevy Silverado. Before making any major purchase decision, it is best to do as much research as possible. Note that Labor Day and Veteran’s Day weekend offer some of the best sales opportunities. You will be able to likely get some extremely low financing and even $10,000 off during the holiday sales events. Keep this in mind before going to a Chevy dealership and paying the sticker price.

There are a few changes with the 2019 Silverado but the most notable are the trims.

“Eight trims are offered on this year’s Silverado, but some get replaced with new options in the 2019 model. New trims include the LT Silverado Trail Boss, RST, and Custom Trail Boss. Trail Boss models are equipped with off-road equipment, including a specially tuned suspension, greater ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and skid plates. The RST shows off sporty looks with body-color trim, LED lighting, and available 22-inch wheels. ”

In 2018 and 2019 you can expect to see Silverado trucks that are in excess of $50,000 on car lots. With this much money being spent, there is no reason to feel as if you are obligated to buy a specific truck. Many car salesmen and saleswomen will try to make you feel guilty for not buying a truck from them. They will make you think they have put in all this hard work to find the right truck for you yet you are not going to make a purchase. Do not fall for this ploy. It happens every day and you have no reason to feel bad. Their job is to find a truck for you. Your job is not to buy a vehicle from them.

If you feel somewhat apprehensive about making a purchase, just walk away. You can always go back. Do not fall for the trick that the truck will be gone the next time you visit a car dealership. They can always find you the same truck somewhere else if they sell that particular truck. There is no reason to be pressured into buying a 2019 Chevy Silverado. You may also consider a used Chevy truck as you can save quite a bit of money buying a used vehicle.

Cars Driven in the Westworld TV Show

If you watched the first episode of Westworld Season 2 you noticed the awesome cars they were driving throughout the park. This is the first times we have actually seen futuristic or robotic vehicles in the show. This is what they look like:

It is safe to say these are not available to buy on a car dealership lot in 2018. That said, there are a few places in which you could customize a vehicle to look like this.

So, what do you think would be best for this type of Westworld car? A Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Toyota or Nissan? We would love to hear how you would create a vehicle like this.

Why Do Car Dealers Ask For Your Driver’s License?

If you have been to a car dealership to purchase a vehicle in the last several years, you have likely had to provide your driver’s license. If a driver’s license isn’t required to buy a car why does a car salesperson always want to make a copy of your license?

The reason they often do this is to get your personal information such as your address and date of birth. If you are financing a vehicle at a car dealership, they are also going to ask for your social security number. They cannot run a credit check without your SSN.

One way to avoid the question of “can I see your driver’s license?” is to buy a vehicle from a private seller. Anyone selling a vehicle on Craigslist or in a classified ad in a newspaper does not care about your driver’s license. In fact, it is almost a guarantee they will never ask.

You may also be able to save a lot of time and money by purchasing a vehicle from a private seller. They will not try to sell you on insurance or upgrades. They will not push a maintenance package and they surely do not want to finance your vehicle for you. In the long run, if you are someone that is good under the hood, buying a car on Craigslist is always a solid option.

If you do not desire to give up your valid driver’s license when buying a car, know that you do not have to. Most dealers will want you to because it is necessary to have a valid driver’s license to actually drive the car off the lot. Keep this in mind when you are vehicle shopping in the next few months. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Jeep Wrangler: Lowest Loss for Smashing in to Deer

Every year over 1 million Americans will report hitting a deer, resulting in billions of dollars in insurance claims. 175 – 200 people will actually be killed in a deer vs auto accident. So… which vehicle is the safest for smashing into these animals?

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Two SUVs from Jeep lead the lowest-loss list. The Wrangler two-door small SUV and four-door midsize model had the lowest overall losses for animal strikes at about one-third of the all-passenger vehicle average.

We’re guessing that most of the people who get killed were actually crashing into cars and hitting trees. This Louisville attorney points out that your friends and other people you injure may even sue you if you injure them. So, don’t smash into people just because there’s a deer in the road; you’ll be much better off just hitting your brakes and if you must just hit the deer and send them flying! Weee!

If you’d like to avoid hitting a deer or you do not have a Jeep Wrangler, consider some of these tips:

  • Deer are most active from 6-9PM
  • Deer travel in groups and typically cross the road in a single file fashion. If you see a deer, there’s another nearby likely following it.
  • Bucks act crazy during “the rut” when the does are in heat.
  • Deer get “stuck in the headlights”. If you see a deer standing in the road staring at you – it has been blinded by your headlights and it isn’t going to move until his/her eyes adjust, and that takes a lot longer than your 60MPH car does to get to where they’re standing.
  • Deer sometimes dart out in front of your car because their friends dared them to.

Who is the Hot Spanish Girl in the Mark Jacobson Toyota TV Commercial?

UPDATE: We believe this could be Linette De Los Santos who was Miss Florida 2017. Here is a photo.

If you have watched TV in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill or Fayetteville, North Carolina in the last three months you have likely seen the Mark Jacobson Toyota commercial in which a very attractive Spanish girl discusses the sales and deals with Mark Jacobson. The first time you watch the video you may think she is mulatto but she starts speaking Spanish at the end of most commercials.

Some may even think she is Brazilian or Portuguese. We are not aware of the name of this hot actress but we are going to do our best to find out. While she is much different than the attractive blonde woman on the Powers Swain TV commercials, she is very appealing.

If you know the name of this Spanish woman on the Mark Jacobson TV commercials, please comment below.

Do I Need A Social Security Number To Buy A Car In North Carolina?

Want to buy a car but don’t have a social security number for some reason? That is ok, maybe you are an immigrant to the United States and do not have a social security number, you can still buy a car. Many people think you have to get a social security number to buy a car in North Carolina, but that is not true. Here are the facts:

You do not legally need a social security number to buy a car in North Carolina. If a dealer tells you that they cannot sell to you it could be because it takes more work. On the dealer side it does require a longer process to sell to someone without a social security number. Therefore, sometimes they try to avoid them.

Many want to find a car dealer that sells to people without a social security number, and there are several that are happy to sell to immigrants or others who may need to buy a car but do not have a social security number.

Should I Buy Or Lease A Car In Clinton, North Carolina?

Should I buy or lease a car? It is a common question, and each side has its pro’s and con’s. The answer really depends on the vehicle. If you want to, for example, buy or lease a Ford in Clinton, North Carolina, consider the following three criteria:

1. Do you drive a lot of miles, or relatively few miles?

If you drive a lot, a lease may not be for you. Most leases have mileage caps of around 10,000 to 15,000 miles a year. This means that if you drive more than that number of miles, you have to pay a certain amount of money per mile over the cap. That really adds up if you drive a lot. It is for this reason that leases are more common in big cities like New York or San Francisco where people do not drive long distances often. If you live in Clinton, North Carolina, you may not drive much.

2. Do you like to drive a new vehicle every 2 to 3 years?

If you are the type of person who likes to drive a new car every few years, a lease may be a good option for you. Most leases are around 24-36 months, though the terms do vary. This means every few years you can trade in and upgrade to a new vehicle. If you like having access to the latest in technology, you may be the right candidate for a lease.

3. What kind of monthly payment are you looking for?

It is generally agreed that the best financial decision long term is to buy a vehicle. However, this assumes that the person has the finances to afford a higher monthly payment, pay the loan in full, and still own the car for a couple of years. If you want a lower monthly payment, perhaps around 200 dollars or below a month, a lease could be better for you. Most leases are lower in cost than a monthly car payment, sometimes much lower depending on the vehicle.

In Summary

Leasing a vehicle is better for some, but not all. Speak to your financial person or your local Clinton Ford dealer to find out if leasing a vehicle could be good for you, or if it is wiser to buy.
